True Muslims Don’t Involve In Boko Haram

The essence of fasting and praying would not be over emphasized, in Islamic and in Christianity.

In Bonny Island, our senior reporter who visited the deputy Imam in charge of Bonny Mosque. Adam Adulkadir noted that the just concluded fasting and praying was known as Eid-el-Kabir, which usually is festive after the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

Responding to questions, on insecurity problems, the Imam noted that fasting and praying is for peace and unity of the country.

He pointed out that the true Muslims are not involved in Boko Haram activities because we hate killing fellow human beings. However, we prayed for their change of heart.

The Muslim Chief noted that the Islamic religion has nothing to do with politics, but have respect for government authority because there is leadership in Islam.

The Muslim leader commended the Federal and State Governments for the early and quick intervention on the deadly Ebola Virus out break in Nigeria, saying that the major topic in the concluded Eid-el-Kabir fasting and praying was Ebola.

Stressing that religion is for knowledge. The Imam charged the politicians to create leadership quality awareness for young generation because Islam is for justice.

The Imam urged the tradition institution to do its best in giving right of way to others for interest of peace in the country.

Imam Adam used the opportunity to commend the Amayanabo in Council for effective co-existence with non-indigenes in Bonny Island, while he assured that Hausa community will live as law abiding citizens in the area.

In his remarks on behalf of Chief Hassan Welewa, who is the Vice President General, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Rivers State, Abdulazeez Furo Pepple, commended the Northerners in Bonny Island, Rivers State for their peaceful co-existence in the area.

Pepple lauded the Bonny Caretaker Committee Chairman for his wealth of experience in piloting the affairs of the L.G.A

Alhaji Pepple used the medium to appeal to inhabitants of Bonny Island to be prayerful, mostly at this period general elections in the country, so as to avoid violence in Bonny and Nigeria at large. ###
