Collection Of PVCs To Continue Until February 8

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) which is currently ongoing in all the electoral wards in Nigeria to February 8 2015, about a week before the conduct of the presidential election.

The Commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Cross River State, Dr Okey Ezeani, made the disclosure on Thursday while brainstorming with members of the State Inter-agency Advisory Committee on Voter Education (SICVEP).

He asserted that with the introduction of the PVCs for the conduct of the 2015 general elections, Nigeria would own the elections and decide whichever way the outcome would go.

The REC then assured that the 2015 general elections would be free and fair and devoid of violence as the electoral body is poised to conducting a very peaceful election.
