Bakana Monarch Salutes Wike, Others Over Electoral Victory

The Amanyanabo of Bakana community in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH O.O Odum VIII has facilitated with Chief Barr. Hon. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike over his electoral victory as the governor of Rivers State.

The Amanyanabo also extended his goodwill message to the deputy governor elect, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Banigo, the lawmaker-elect to represent Degema Constituency in Rivers Assembly, Dr. Farah Dagogo, the federal legislator-elect to represent Bonny/Degema Federal constituency, Hon. Randolph Iwo Brown and other Kalabari elected officers from the ruling peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

This was contained in a press release, sent to this weekly on Tuesday, the Amanyanabo said that he has confidence on the elected officers, saying that they have the ability and the capability to bring the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the Rivers people.

The Amanyanabo called on the governor-elect to ensure that he places Bakana in his developmental plans. “Bakana needs effective development”, King Odum VIII said.

He, however revealed that he voted for PDP and Wike, saying that though he is not a politician but a royal father who believes that Wike is the best man for the Brick house job.

The royal father promised that him and his Council of Chiefs will give their total support to Wike’s administration. He urged the people of his domain to throw their weight behind the governor-elect, pointing out that Wike is the solution to Bakana community.

Odum VIII frowned at some individuals who are parading themselves as chiefs of Bakana, he advised such people to stop impersonating to avoid the wrath of the gods of the land.

The paramount head further called on the management of some multi-national firms doing business in his domain to stop negotiating with persons outside Bakana, pointing out that he remains the authentic king of Bakana.

“No one can bypass me to do any business in my domain, so to avoid friction companies coming to Bakana territory to do work should see me for negotiation and necessary settlement. Any negotiation done outside my palace is null and void. Odum VIII concluded. ###
