Keshi Wishes Oliseh Success

OLISEH AND KESHISacked Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has wished his colleague and incoming Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh success in his new assignment of serving his father’s land as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

Keshi was sacked based on allegation of applying for an Ivorian coaching job while still in the payroll of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Oliseh is Keshi’s teammate in the 1994 Super Eagles USA World Cup squad, and played a crucial roll in the roving defensive midfield position.

Oliseh adapted well with the plans of his team Coach, Clement Westerof in the same position that Keshi was the skipper of the team.

The fair complexioned player rose prominently to become the captain of the Super Eagles warmly through popular demand of the players and Nigerians of goodwill.

Unlike Keshi, Oliseh reign was short-lived because of Oliseh incessant misunderstanding with the then NFF. As a player, Oliseh has entered his name on FIFA good book as one of the players that had contributed to good football.

The 1998 Nigeria against Spain will forever remain the unique goal Oliseh scored from few metres away from the centre circle of the midfield which gave Nigeria the winner in that world cup encounter to read 3 – 2.

Oliseh from his playing days was a purposeful player and off the pitch, he has done well for himself as at the moment FIFA reckons with the player as he serves in the FIFA technical advisory role.

Oliseh has FIFA licence coaching certificate and has coach Belgium third class team from record. ###
