“Pray For Me” Wike Tells Churches

wwwwikIt was a joyful moment for the entire members of the Diocese of Niger Delta North and Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion as they dedicate the newly built Bishop Court to God.
The dedication and commissioning ceremony took place at the Bishop Court complex Obio/Akpor International Road Rukpoku, Obio/Akpor LGA.
Commissioning the newly built Bishop Court edifice complex, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State who expressed delight for the completion of the Bishop Court without problem congratulated members of the Diocese who taxed themselves for the building of the magnificent edifice complex stressing that he is committed to assist members of the church to build and do what would benefit them and tackle other problems like social vices including kidnapping, cultism and all manners of insecurity in the state and appealed to churches to partner with him by praying for his administration to reduce the problems of insecurity in the state which would go a long way to improve the lives of the people of the state as well as to develop the state without problem.
The governor who was represented by Kenneth Kobani, the Secretary to the State Government prayed that God should direct the affairs of members of the Diocese to move the church forward.
In his response, His Grace, the Primate Metropolitan of All Anglican Communion, Dr. Nicholas Okoh who described the Bishop Court building project as a solid rock commended all members of the Diocese who contributed in the building of the magnificent project describing them as important adding that the completion, dedication and the commissioning of the project was a territorial conquest which called for celebration for all members of the Diocese.
Rev. Dr. Okoh who noted that there is need for humility to enable God answer ones prayer, urged members of the church including members of the public to always humble themselves to attract God blessing “We must be humble when given our offering and it must be received by God, we must be righteous, we should not be arrogant and though humbleness to God you receive blessing from God.
Similarly, in his remark the Most Rev. Dr. Ignatius Kattey JP the Dean Emeritus Church of Nigeria, Archbishop Province of Niger Delta and Lord Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta North while commending members of the Diocese for their cooperation in actualizing the building of the magnificent project Bishop court thanked members for their unity and cooperation through out the building of the project and commended all who graced the commissioning and dedication ceremony. ###
