A Lawlessness Nigerian Society

nigeria_map_mNigerian society is gradually drifting into the dark era of Thomas Hobbian’s state of nature, a developmental state of the society where life was brutish and short. Government was not in existence, thus survival of the fittest was the order of the state.

Considering the ugly happenings in Nigeria; we don’t need a soothsayer to tell us that the country is already on the fast lane of disintegration. I don’t believe in separation, because Nigeria is a land full of opportunities to explore for the socio-economic empowerment of its citizenry.

In as much as I believe in one Nigeria, one nation, Nigerians are passing through hard and difficult times to tackle the three (3) necessities of life namely: shelter food and clothing.

There is so much corruption in the country. Bribing has moved into every segment of the society including the judiciary that adjudge as the last hope of the common man. I lost confidence in our judiciary system due to the way and the manner in which it handles sensitive cases that affecting the future of the country. As far as I am concerned Nigeria’s judiciary system is grounded. Judiciary is truncating our democracy that was built with human blood. Judges take bribe to deliver judgment to twist justice.

The crisis has enveloped the entire Nigeria. Boko Haram, an Islamic sect is causing mayhem in the north.

Currently, Biafrans from the East are calling for secession. In Port Harcourt, and other parts of the country, the Biafra agitators are demanding for separate state, this is not a healthy development for the growth of the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari seems to lose focus as the country is moving toward anarchy and lawlessness. If the president fails to take action, in no distant time Nigeria will be history on the political map of the world. ###
