Nigeria Is Grounded

nigeria_map_mConstitutionally speaking, the responsibility of every government is to provide for the basic needs of its citizenry, such as shelter, clothing and food.
Good government ensures the security of the citizens. Any government that does not has the capacity to discharge its statutorily functions needs not to exist or continue to be in power.
In Nigeria, lives and property are no longer safe due to the high rate of insecurity across the nation.
Agitations are now become the order of the day. Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra are currently terrorizing the South-East part of the country as Boko Haram, a dreaded Islamic fundamentalists seem to take charge of the northern section.
Several law abiding citizens have been sent to their early graves. Of recent thirteen (13) persons killed and hundreds of people wounded, when soldiers opened fire on protesting members of the Indigenous People of Biafra at Onitsha. No doubt, Nigeria as a nation is sitting on the keg of gun powder.
The country is no longer safe for its citizenry and foreign investors. Nigerians are living under bridges due to lack of effective housing policy of the Federal Government.
Besides this, people cannot afford three (3) square meal. The Federal Government under a former Military Head of States, President Muhammadu Buhari is not showing concern about the economic welfare of the masses. Nigerian workers have not received their salaries for the past few months. There is hunger on the land.
One will be forced to ask: Is Nigeria coming to an end? This question can only be answered by the president and his agents of change. The economy is biting and the Nigerians are passing through excruciating pains because of their inability to meet the basic necessities of life.
Considering the zig-zag nature of the economy and the way in which things are going, the electorate are now regretting for voting for the “change” that has not changed the situation of the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari should urgently do something to save the country from collapsing. ###
