Entrepreneurship Will Fast-track Development – Shederah

The Human Resource Manager of Yille Academy a Non-Governmental Organization, Pastor Charis Shederah said entrepreneurship Trust will fast track development among youths to engage in meaningful ventures that will create employment opportunities and curb social vices.

Shederah made the remark in an interview shortly after the formal opening of a free skills acquisition and entrepreneurship workshop with the theme: “Be empowered to start your own Business”.

The Human Resource Manager maintained that the training would qualify them to be on their own while appealing to government, agencies, corporate organizations and individuals to assist Nigerian Youths to eliminate poverty and cultism in the society, while commending the sponsor of the project, Lolo Jennifer Ogbonda for taking up the responsibility.

Shederah stated that her passion is to train the young ones who have great potentials and needed mentorship saying lack of proper care will make them to be vulnerable, cultists, prostitutes, gangsters and armed robbers who will later terrorize the society as they intend to produce quality products while seeking government partnership.

In her presentation, one of the resource persons, Barr. Mrs. Christine Essien tasked the youths to be focused as no business is common and they should not overlook anyone as a Nigerian richest woman started as a tailor and get to the top through hard work.

Barr. Mrs. Essien stated that entrepreneurship is the way forward especially now that the price of oil continues to fall, pointing out Yille Initiative is timely to equip the youths. She suggested that Nigeria should look at the China method of growing economy, including Dubai that has turned world class tourism destination to generate alterative income.

Also speaking, the President World Impact Development Foundation, Mr. Dexter Kingsley who is one of the resource persons said government should do more on youths entrepreneurship development that will help them gain valuable skills for sustainability.

In her contribution, the Diamond Beauty Queen 2016, Miss Agoune Vivian Commended the organizers of the project saying it will get people from the streets “Government should help the poor” she stated.

Some of the participants who spoke with journalists said it takes those who are determined to succeed and let the government help the youths to reduce crime rate. The trainings were in catering, event management, fish and poultry farming, fashion and beauty, personal development, production of detergent and deodorant among others. ###
