PFN: Zilly Aggrey Is My Son-Bishop Nwator

The recent misunderstanding between the Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rivers State chapter, Apostle Zilly Aggrey and the International President of Integrity and Faithful Ministers Network Worldwide, Bishop Friday Nwator may have been settled.

In an exclusive interview with The Newswriter in Port Harcourt on Monday, the Bishop declared that he has no more problem with the PFN chairman, in his words, “Zilly Aggrey is my son, he has been very respectful to me, the state and all the authorities that be, and as such, I will help to build him up”.

The Bishop who is also the Founder of Nigerian House of Peace Ministries said he had no misunderstanding with Aggrey as a person, but the problem was his non-compliance with court settlement, which he just reminded him.

According to the Bishop, they have held several meetings with some key leaders in Rivers State on the matter, leading to the amicable solution. “ I stand today to tell you that Zilly is my son and therefore whatever had transpired during the rift should be forgotten, because we have settled.”

Nwator further said that it is natural that when there is war or fight, bullets fly everywhere and that was what happened during his feud with the PFN chairman. The implication he said is that anybody hit by the stray bullet should accept it in good fate.

Commenting on the role Aggrey’s Aides played in the matter, Nwator said good Aides should always keep their boss’ secret secret. He decried a situation where information that supposed to be confidential are revealed to outsiders by some Aides, describing it as bad and disloyalty.

The clergyman who is also a medical doctor said he urged the people to disregard all the things that were written about Aggrey and Nwator in the past on this matter.

The bishop also appealed to Governor Chibuike Amaechi and his wife to forgive and forget whatever they must have heard about him and Aggrey during the skirmishes.

The elderstatesman who took a swipe on some of the Aides of the PFN chairman and the role they played during the crisis, advised him to overhaul the team, especially those in media department to check their excesses.

The Integrity and Faithful Ministers President promised to support Aggrey and his team become stronger than they are presently and to help build PFN secretariat.

Asked why he thinks the issues that caused the misunderstanding will not come up again, Bishop Nwator said now that the Advisory Board of PFN has been properly constituted, there is no problem again.

He however said that there has been allegation that the PFN chairman has been too diplomatic, which he said is one of the characteristics of a leader.

The Bishop said his advice to Aggrey is that he should minimize such quality, especially when dealing with elders.

Nwator also picked hole on the indiscriminate invitation of speakers (preachers) outside the state to come and dedicate Rivers State to God, advising that such practice should be reduced to the barest minimum, since according to him, God also hears from remnant Rivers men of  God. ###
