Emenike Accuses Keshi, NFF Of Abandonment

Four goal highest goal scorer of the 29th African Nations cup of Nigeria, Emmanuel has accused Nigeria Super Eagle’s Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of abandoning him when he sustained injury in the semi final match of the Nations Cup, in South Africa.

The hard fighting striker said his coach Stephen Keshi and the Nigeria football federal (NFF) have together abandoned him to his fate after he risked his effort in ensuring that Nigeria qualifies for the final match and eventual winning of the trophy.

Emenike sustained injury at the semi final match as his absent which unable him to feature in the final match affected the Super Eagles attacks line as goal scoring opportunities were wasted by supporting striker brown Ideye, who took his place.

In response to Emenike’s accusation, Keshi said, how will one do with a player who refused to pick calls and he refused to talk to me. Keshi was quoted saying he has called Emenike several times after the nations cup but the player did not deem it right to pick his calls. He did not stop from there, he did not call and even refused to talk with me, what else will I do? Keshi resorted.

This allegation has also been refuted by the Nigeria football federation (NFF). As if the player is not in the best frame of mind even as he is still nursing injury while the squad needs him to stay for the country.

Keshi has invited qualify players of Nigerian origin for the 2014 world cup qualifiers between Nigeria and Kenya. Who will take the place of Emenike in the Eagle attack line up is the question on the lips of many. ###
