The Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Congresses which started from the ward level, L.G.A, State and the South South Zone, may have come and gone, but party members across the State are still commending PDP for such a wonderful, transparent and peaceful Congresses in the state and beyond.
Adding to the commendations, Hon. Barr. Solomon C. Ebeku, Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Inter Party Matters, thanked his boss, Rt.Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for providing an enabling environment, upon which the free and fair congresses took place in the State.
Hon. Ebeku further commended Rivers and South-South PDP members for the sense of maturity they exhibited during the congresses, adding that the caliber of persons elected into various offices of the party, will help to move the party to the next level.
Ebeku, in a chat with newsmen, urged the general public not to look at the nature of some uncompleted road projects in the state to score the performance of the State Governor, but to reflect back to the already completed roads and other projects in the state to justify how the end will be. He added that the people of Ahoada are already beneficiaries of the Governor’s road projects in the state, describing Amaechi’s Government as one that starts and completes projects. The Special Assistant on Inter Party Matters was optimistic that the issues of road and transportation problems in the state, will adequately be taken care of by the governor.
It could be recalled that Hon. Solomon had in recent past, commended the executives and members of Rivers State Youth Movement (RYM) on the occasion of their reception in honour of the new Chief of Staff, Hon. Tony Okocha at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
Ebeku, based his commendation on the rapid growth which RYM had achieved in the recent past, despite their little beginning at Diobu, Port Harcourt. He urged them to continue in their good works and continue to support the Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi to achieve his set-out goals in Rivers State.
