Leave Ikegbidi Alone, Fmr CTC Chairman Urges Ahoada East

The Former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon.Napoleon Ukalikpe has urged those fighting the council chairman, High Chief Cassidy Ikegbidi to allow him concentrate on his onerous task of delivering democratic dividends to the people of the area.
Hon.Ukalikpe who spoke to newsmen at the Port Harcourt airport appealed to those who see nothing good in Ikegbidi’s administration to sheath their sword and support the commitment and fervour the council chairman has demonstrated in the discharge of his official responsibilities with the objective of “fast -tracking the attainment of the noble and lofty ideals of the transformational agenda of the Cassidy Ikegbidi -led administration in the LGA.
“The onetime Ex-Officio member of the Peoples Democratic Party at the state level has described those fighting the council boss as mischief makers and unscrupulous politicians who only think of their stomach against the future of the LGA, adding that the myriad of fight against Ikegbidi is retrogressive to the growth of the area, he continued that Ikegbidi was massively voted into office not only for the first time but for second term by the people of the area, which was predicated on his performance and widely accepted popularity in the LGA, hence he should be allowed to finish his tenure.
He described the council chairman, High Chief Cassidy Ikegbidi as a man of impeccable “character, visionary, pragmatic and an astute leader whose dedication to God and service to humanity is a legacy worthy of emulation. Ukalikpe remarked that within a short time in office, Ikegbidi had made a remarkable and impressive changes that attest to his commitment to the development of the LGA, not just in words, but in deeds. While commending the council chairman on his giant strides in the area of infrastructural development, youth empowerment, ICT drive, water scheme, electrification, among others. Hon. Ukalikpe stressed the need to instil in the people a positive national consciousness that will equip them properly for their future task of building an enviable LGA, while appealing to the people of the area to be good ambassadors of peace and join hands with Ikegbidi’s administration to move the area forward.
