Clergy Man Decries Eastern Governors For Shading Muslims

The Bishop of Etche, Anglican Communion Rt. Rev. Okechukwu Precious Nwala, has blamed the activities of governors in the Eastern part of Nigeria on Muslim said they are encouraging the religion in the east the way northern governors handled Christianity in the north. The Bishop told newsmen shortly after the Easter service on Sunday March 31, 2013 at Okomoko that Muslims are using Boko Haram to kill Christians in the north but Muslims are protected in the East that nobody can touch them.

Bishop Nwala further said that, even if by the teaching of Christianity, Christian leaders can not order reprisal attack on Muslims in the East, the governors suppose to instruct their counterpart in the North that so long as they are protecting their religious faithfuls they should equally care for Christians there in the north otherwise they will not guarantee the security of Muslims faithful in their own domain and they will immediately understand.

If there is one Nigeria, he said what is good for one is also good for the other.

Nwala has it that in the East governors donate lands for the erection of mosque while in the north one find it impossible to buy land to build church and that apart from the Boko Haram activities Muslims see Christians as enemies in their home in the north.

Nwala who described Boko Haram struggle as jihad of the later day said that Muslims leaders in the north are the sponsor of the struggle to fulfill the vision of Usman Dan Fodio who said that he will deep Koran in the Atlantic ocean said that if governors in the East refused to stop Islamic campaign now by the time they enter their level they will fulfill their plans and these governors will have themselves to blame.

He pointed accusing fingers on the federal government for not using the constitutional provision at their reach to deliver the defenseless Christians in the north, asking Jonathan and the security officers to rise now to their responsibility and save Christians in the north from this blood Muslims (Boko Haram).

Nwala who used the medium to advised Christian to fall on their knees and cry to God opined if this is done God will surely frustrate the Muslims in their evil plans.

Concerning splitting of Nigeria, the Bishop said that the unity of Nigeria is totally God’s decision adding that what has happened in Nigeria, yet the country is not divided has not happened in countries that has split explained that if God want Nigeria to splited he will do it in the way that will surprise everybody and urged Christians to seek the face of God now than ever before, as Jesus is coming soon. ###
