Coronation of Amanyanabo Of Ogoloma, Amaechi Hails Okrikans

 

 

The Okrika kingdom in the Niger Delta in her diverse socio-cultural cum political affiliations matched out in an overwhelming celebration of the final coronation ceremony of His Royal Highness King E. T.I Obudibo JP, Ikwo V Amanyanabo of Ogoloma last week Saturday at Ogoloma town square.

The executive governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was the special guest of honour at the event.

The governor noted that irrespective of the delay in the coronation, the people of Ogoloma remain peaceful, which according to him it was a standard for all toe emulate.

The governor further described the king as a man of peace, patience and God fearing with an act of humility and noted that he was convinced that Okrikans truely peace loving people no matter any arising conflicts and charged other royal Highnesses to emulate HRH King E.T.I Obudibo JP, Ikwo V, adding that in achieving lasting peace, respect and honour the king must posses deserving qualities of the royal stool.

In an interview with our correspondents, a royal highness from Imo State, HRH Igwe C.O Okafor Chinanwa Eze 1 of Ozalla described the king of Ogoloma as a man of focus, resolute and determination to attain royal virtues and commend all the contributors, the committee for the marvelous celebration  that set a standard for royal coronation in Nigeria.

Another notable royal majesty from Etche, Rivers State, HRM E.N.B Opurum JP, MFR Onye-Isi-Etche a first class recognized traditional ruler in Rivers State, also the king of Ogoloma as a man of wisdom who employ the fear of God as a yard stick to measure his rulership and wish him more years.

In a cross section interview with chiefs of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Areas of Rivers State, the chairman of Ogu/Bolo council of chiefs, chief Marshal Daninabo Oforibokakaka JP scored the events as first in the history of Ogoloma and Okrika kingdom to observed such a peaceful and landmark celebrated coronation of a king in Okrika kingdom, chief Oforibokakaka urged all sons and daughters of Okrika ethnic nationality to invest in such peaceful co-existence that will promote the unity of the people, wishing the king many years ahead.

In a similar development, the Chairman of Okrika Divisional council of chief, Chief Sir Nemi Wisdom Adoki who double as the guest of honour sincerely appreciate the people of Ogoloma community on their cooperation and unity to accord this colourful coronation of the king urging them to maintain tempo. The chairman also extended his appreciation to all members of ODCC for their commitment to the traditional duties.

In another development, the regent of Boko community in Ogu/Bolo LGA, Chief Eng. MD Alabo Alagba JP Tematematemaso III in his goodwill message to the king of Ogoloma describe the celebration as a denotation of oneness, love and unity among the people Ogoloma and expressed satisfaction on the joyful coronation of the king and urge all members of the royal families to take the message home to change the negative perception of outsiders on Okrikans.

Also high chief Dateme Tomsuku (Onongi I) expressed satisfaction on the coronation of the king and described the event as worthy of emulation adding that the role of royal position in the Niger Delta will profit the Nigerian society if every royal stool borrowed the life style of the Ogoloma king.

Conclusively, the chairman central planning committee Comrade Joy Inimgba Koko JP when briefing newsmen thanked all dignitaries from all walk of life who graced the coronation of the king of Ogoloma. In their goodwill message to the king, Chief Samuel A. W. Ibibo who spoke on behalf of the Port Harcourt Aborigine chiefs commended the people of Ogoloma on their well organized manner and display of total unity among them.

Chief Ibibo further described the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma as an epitome of unity and love who invested his royal stool for unifying the people Ogoloma which had finally brought proud and honour to the entire people of Okrika, wishing the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma many more years to rule the people of Ogoloma. ###
