Royal Father Makes Case For Amaechi

CHIEF OWABIESequel to the lingering suspension of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the governor of Rivers State by the People Democratic Party PDP, the crises rocking the State for the past three months, a prominent Chief in Rivers State His’ Royal Highness, Chief Owabie Tobin, Eze Onumini I of Port Harcourt City L.G.A has described the embarrassment meted on governor Amaechi by his Party members “as action with no cause”.

In a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt shortly after a solidarity visit by the people of Ogbakor Ikewrre Ethnic Nationality on Amaechi in Government House Port Harcourt, the Royal Father who described governor Amaechi as a performer recalled how the incumbent governor of Rivers State, as the Chairman of the Nigerian conference of speakers, and presently the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum NGF whose administration has witnessed developmental strides across the 23 LGAs of Rivers State in the areas of road construction, building of Health Centres, schools, security network, infrastructural developments, empowerment generation among others has made Rivers people and the party proud wondered why he should be humiliated without just cause.

The royal father noted that the current travail on Amaechi was a gang up by the presidency, in collaboration with the Rivers Abuja base politicians and Amaechi political enemies, due to governor Amaechi’s advocacy for fairness and justice. Chief Tobin who wondered why President Jonathan and other anti Amaechi should attack the incumbent governor of Rivers State for no just cause recalled how governor Amaechi mobilized over two (2) millions voters in Rivers State to vote him into office which made him succeed as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011.

According to him, “we were reliably informed that he is trying to lobby members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Amaechi” stressing that he Jonathan will not succeed in such move, because governor Amaechi was a God sent to rescue Rivers people stressing that “what God has joined together no one can put asunder”, Owabie vowed.

On the five Rivers lawmakers who joined hands against governor Amaechi, Chief Tobin noted that governor Amaechi has assisted them to be in the present positions and urged them to desist from attacking a man who has done nothing wrong to them. ###
