Port Harcourt side, Dolphins FC has started maintaining the form she is known for over the years as she has climbed up to claim the third position in the ongoing Nigeria Glo Professional Football Premier League, playing at home last week.
The more active and ravaging Dolphins thrashed 2-0 at the Liberation Stadium in week 23 in the Nigeria Glo Professional Football League.
With few matches to go, Dolphins have indicated their determination to claim a continental ticket to represent Nigeria. Dolphins is not new to this terrain if all is put in place for the players to have the right frame of mind for this noble result in sight.
Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Fred Mbombo Igwe in anticipation of the result has earlier predicted that Dolphins is sure of claiming continental ticket this season.
True to his prediction, Dolphins are coasting home to her continental ticket if they will not relent for the continental ticket in sight.
In the same vein, hard working General Manager of Dolphins Football club of Port Harcourt had also echoed the same sentiment at beginning of the league.
To achieve this result the Youngman has been working tirelessly to see that Dolphins play in the continent this season.
As for the Coach Stanley Eguma and the players, they have the support of the state government and the entire soccer fans of Port Harcourt and beyond. But they must do something to that desired result.
They must be focused, principled, disciplined, show more dedication and commitment.
The Rivers State government at this stage should not delay any payment of money to the players. The government should endeavour to avoid delay of match bonuses and allowances to the barest minimum if it has to see play in the continent and all will be well with Dolphins. ###
