Memima Has Vindicated Me – Tony Okocha

MEMIMA HOTEL FLOWING PPICSome stakeholders in Rivers State have commended the Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon. Sir. Tony Okocha for the support he gave to his Personal Assistant, Mr. Chikwe Orlu as Memima Hotel Opens for business in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Speaking shortly after the official opening of the hotel, Chief Okocha expressed happiness that his Personal Assistant, Chikwe was able to utilize the opportunity that many have missed in their community, Rumuigbo.

He expressed gratitude that Chikwe had exemplified himself, adding that he was part of the success as a lover of good thing. Okocha further maintained that Memima Hotel had vindicated him from gossips and detractors as a “wicked person”.

The Chief of Staff Government House, promised to support the management and staff of the Hotel with one mouth salary to enable the Managing Director, Chikwe to stabilize and urged the staff to make use of their employment opportunity to render good services to the management and guests of the hotel.

Speaking with journalists, Hon. Lawrence  Chukwu, former Vice Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State, commended the effort of Mr. Chikwe whose strides were made possible by Chief of Staff, Tony Okocha as an evidence of the empowerment opportunities that has been created in the state by the administration of Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.

In his remarks, Chief Hon. Sir. Kinikanwo Owhonda, former Caretaker Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA and former Deputy Manager of Risonpalm who described the new generation politicians as people without pedigree, lauded Chief Tony Okocha and Mr. Chikwe Orlu for their respective loyalties to their superiors.

He reiterated the need for the people to remember their culture and not to run away from their home, while Hon. Chimelem Nnanta Wele, Ikwerre Youth Movement (IYM) chairman in Obio/Akpor LGA, expressed satisfaction on the outcome of the day. He described Tony Okocha as a “selfless man” and used the medium to call  on the people of the state to continue to give their support to the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi who has built schools, hospitals and roads among others.

Responding, Mr. Chikwe Orlu, Personal Assistant to the Chief of Staff who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Memima Hotel expressed gratitude to his boss, Chief Tony Okocha and to his wife in particular for pampering him, pleaded with her to continue with such gesture to others.

Chikwe who simultaneously marked his birthday at the event, added that he had every opportunity to be rascal but decided to prioritize his future and that of his family which has paved way for where he is today, charging the youths of his community and the state to make use of their destinies which are in their hands.

Other dignitaries that gave their commendations to Okocha and Chikwe at the event include: Sir Owunwene Wonodi, Commissioner for Youths Development, Rivers State, Barr. Uche Okukwu and Eze Ogbagba 1 of Ikwerre land. ###
