PH: Group Applauds Jonathan Over National Dialogue …Mourns Ex-speaker Harry

IKALASO

A non-political organization known as the Campaign For Peace And Justice in Nigeria (CPJN) has applauded the Federal Government for its plan to convene a National Conference.

Addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt on Monday, the Chief National Co-ordinator of the group, Barr. P.C.A Ikalaso expressed optimism that the Planned National Conference would address issues bordering the corporate existence of Nigeria.

Barr. Ikalaso who described the planned National Dialogue as “well over due”, advised the Federal Government to provide level playing ground for all ethnic groups to participate in the National discourse.

The CPJN condemned those who are frowning at the setting of the 13 member National Conference Committee, saying such individuals are insensitive to the problems facing the country.

Meanwhile, the group has commiserated with the Government of Rivers State over the sudden demise of the former speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tonye Ezekiel Harry.

The late ex-speaker until his death represented  Degema Constituency in the State Assembly.

The CPJN prayed God to give the State Government and the family of the ex-speaker the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. The group further prayed that the soul of the departed state legislator rest in the bosom of the Lord. ###
