EID-EL-KABIR Celebration: Islamic Leader Proffers Solutions To Nigeria’s Crisis

HAUSANS FLOWING PICA Muslim leader, Alhaji Shaiky Abubakar Danasoba, the Chairman League of Imams Rivers State chapter has advocated that the only solution to end the deepen political crisis in the nation was to seek spiritual advise, from the creator, work in line with his directive and avoid materialism.

Alhaji Danasoba gave the advise while in a chat with journalists during this year Eid-el-Kabir Muslim festival celebration in Port Harcourt.

According to him, it was materialism and lack of spiritual advices from the creator that made most Nigerian leaders to act negatively that caused crisis in the nation and advised Nigerians to desist from seeking for materialism and follow the footstep of their creator to move the nation forward.

The Muslim leader who used the celebration to differentiate the Eid-el Malud and Eid-el Kabir festivals celebration explained that the Eid-el-Malud is a day set aside by some Muslims to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammad stressing that it was not celebrated by all Muslim because Prophet Mohammed while on earth did not instruct any Muslim to celebrate his birthday, pointing out that even his vanguard who were known to be his companions could not celebrate his birthday after his death despite the love they have for him because they were not mandated.

According to him, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed started a century after his death by some group of Muslims.

The Muslim leader further explained that the Eid-el-Kabir in the other hand was the celebration which Muslims joined their Muslims sisters and brothers who traveled to the pilgrim to mark the end of pilgrims celebration, stressing that the celebration is one of the five pillars of the Islam and the largest annual celebration in the history of the human beings.

According to him, it is celebration of the unity, quality and universal brotherhood of the Muslims, wearing the same outfit of the brotherhood.

He further explained that it was a reminder of the ground assembly on the day of judgment where all human beings will assemble and give account of their stewardships to their creator, adding that judgment of God is full of justice where no lawyer will stand and advocates for anyone.

He disclosed that the history of the pilgrimage will remain uncompleted without mentioning Prophet Mohammed whom God commanded to build His temple in Mecca.

The Muslim leader who argued that Ishmael was the first son of Abraham and not Isaac as claimed noted that God tested Abraham’s faith to sacrifice his son Ishmael as a ram and later sacrificed a ram when he found out that Abraham is faithful to him.

He advised Muslims in the state and nation to maintain peace, follow the teaching of Mohammed and be their brothers’ keeper. ####
