River Crisis: Wike, Amaechi Summoned To London…Rivers In Diaspora Meets

Indications have emerged  that plans have reached an advanced stage to summon the political warlords in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Onyesom Wike, the Supervising Minister of Education and Rivers State governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to the United Kingdom, London for the peace of the state.

The Rivers Association in London, our sources hinted has swung into action to ensure that peace is returned to the state to save it from further embarrassment by the leaders of the different political factions in the state.

Our sources in London posits that Barr. Wike and Governor Amaechi’s tussle for supremacy in the state is an aberration, selfish and act capable of plunging the state into anarchy, saying the activities of the duo  tarnishing the image of the state before the international community hence the decision of the Association to urgently intervene.

“Rivers Association in London is not happy with way the Ikwerre sons are troubling the state for their selfish interest,” the source added.

The Association recalled its impact in curbing the menace of assassination, kidnapping and other vices in the state during the 1999-2003 government under the leadership of Sir. Dr. Peter Odili.

It said, Dr. Odili, Dr. Abiye Sekibo and others were summoned to London for a peace meeting and since after the meeting the crisis ceased.

Association of Rivers Citizens in London, however is warning the Ikwerre sons against plunging the state into anarchy. ###
