“Fight Boko Haram” Royal Father Tells Asari Dokubo

Worried by utterances credited to Asari Dokubo, the former leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, against Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over declaring war on Nigerians if Jonathan did not win the 2015 presidential election, His Royal Highness, Chief Owabie Tobin, the Eze Onunimi 1 of Port Harcourt City Local Government has urged Asari Dokubo to fight against Boko Haram and leave Nigerians alone.

In a chat with The Newswriter in his Palace, Chief Owabie Tobin recalled how Asari Dokubo in one of the national dailies called former President Ibrahim Babangida a coward because of he IBB advises him not to make unnecessary utterances over little matter.

According to him, Asari Dokubo had said, if President Goodluck Jonathan did not win the presidential election in 2015 he will declare war on Nigeria, IBB in reaction to this statement advice Asari Dokubo to stop making utterances over little matter, the former leader of the Niger Delta Volunteer Force accused former President Babangida of being a coward for annulling the June 12 1993 election which favoured Chief M.K.O Abiola.

The royal father who noted that electing President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for second tenure was not Nigerian problem but to stop Boko Haram because it involve every citizen in all states of the federation.

The Royal Father who revealed that his mothers junior sister’s daughter who hail from Borno State was among the victims of the Chibok girls urged President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure the release of those girls before thinking of his re-election bid in 2015.

Chief Owabie Tobin who expressed sadness over the demise of late Hon. Charles Paul Ejekwu noted that the late former CTC chairman of Phalga was his brother and his former boss describing him as a gentle, humble and a hard working man who has put smiles on the people of Phalga within the short period of his stay as chairman of the LGA.

He appealed to Governor Amaechi to replace him, by appointing somebody from his area. He commended Governor Amaechi for his developmental stride in all the 23 LGAs of Rivers State despite distractors and urged him not to relent in his good leadership.

He urged the APC members in Phalga not to lose hope over the death of Phalga CTC chairman rather should move on and deliver the party in the area to win in 2015 elections. ###
