PDP Will Take Over Rivers In 2015 – Ex-Minister

Chief Nyesom Wike, former Minister of State for Education and PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Rivers, on Tuesday said that the party would reclaim its stolen mandate in the state in 2015.

Wike made the statement during his consultation with PDP delegates in Okrika Local Government Area.

He said that APC had always been a failure in elections against the PDP, assuring that the PDP had the capacity to defeat APC in all elections in the state.

”I assure you that PDP has the capacity to win both the governorship and presidential elections in this state by 2015.

”We are the winning team; APC is always a failure and they will continue to fail because they have nothing to offer to the people,” Wike said.

The PDP governorship aspirant said that it was his love for the people that actuated his aspiration, adding that power truly belongs to the people.

The former minister urged Okrika people to cast their votes wisely in the forthcoming PDP primaries, saying that it was time for them to define their priorities.

Also speaking, Sen. George Sekibo, a chieftain of the PDP in the area, called on Okrika people to support Wike and President Jonathan.

Sekibo described the duo as people of unquestionable characters whose love for the people was unequalled.

The senator urged the people to rise above selfish desires, to embrace visionary and purposeful leaders for a greater future.

He described Wike as a man of the people whose humility and compassion had endeared him to the people.

Earlier, Chief Ateke Tom, a chieftain of the party, called on the people to rally support for Wike.
