Rivers: Civil Servants Cry Out Over Non Payment of Salaries

gov-amaechiCivil servants from Rivers State have cried out over the non payment of their salaries in the past three (3) months.

Civil servants who spoke with our reporter faulted Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s claims that he has cleared their salaries.

Our findings shown that the non payment of the salaries also affected the lecturers in the state owned Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and University of Science and Technology.

A lecturer who pleaded for anonymity hinted our correspondent that the Governor is full of lies, alleging that the Rumuolumeni road he promised to complete has not gotten any proper attention.

He accused the governor of spending Rivers money for sponsoring the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general election.

The lecturer wondered how the governor and his APC will scale through the general election in the state, when he has not paid civil servants and execute projects that will put smiles on the faces of the masses. ###
