House Of Reps: Opobo Kingdom Stands Still For PDP, Abiante

The people of Opobo kingdom has demonstrated their loyalty, support and comfort for the ruling PDP last Saturday when it went agog as they converged in their numbers to welcome the candidacy of Mr. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante who was presented, accepted and endorsed as sole candidate by the constituents of Opobo kingdom in the Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency during a campaign visit to the Amanyanabo in council.

Abiante, who is the PDP flag bearer for the House of Representatives seat for that constituency and was presented to the Amanyanabo in council, King Dandison Douglas Jaja Jeki V, promised adequate and effective representation if elected come February 14th, 2015 and solicits for support from the Opobo/Nkoro LGA.

According to Abiante, representation of a people entails falling back to the people from time to time, building bridges with others to formulating better legislations for the good of the people and nation at large.

Thanking the PDP for the choice of Mr. Abinate, the Amayanabo in council of Opobo kingdom, King Dandison Jaja described the formal presentation of the candidate as a home visit and advocated for peaceful election, while promising Opobo’s support and votes for the PDP and reeled out his royal blessing on the candidate and the party.

Earlier, Senator Adawari Pepple who made the formal presentation has said that Mr. Abiante is a perfect gentleman, service oriented and obedient fellow who is capable to represent the constituency at a time when the country and constituency needs men of unquestionable character and integrity.

Meanwhile, leader of the delegation Chief Allen Jonah Abbi (JP) has while appreciating the king and the entire good people of Opobo kingdom enjoined them to cast their votes for the PDP, saying that a vote for PDP is a vote for development and transformation.

Those on the delegation were Hon. Gogo Belgam, Chief Alfred Otobo-Alama, Hon. Jacob Eneotu and Prince Adams Barthemeaus Utong.

However, The Newswriter political desk gathered that Opobo town, though the home city of the APC governorship candidate, Dakuku Peterside, it is a one way movement working for the success of the ruling PDP.

Eager to ascertain why such was conceived, it was revealed that the APC candidate and indigene of the kingdom was disrespectful to elders and constituted authorities.

The Newswriter further gathered on good grounds that indigenes of Opobo kingdom are assiduously working hard, leaving no stone unturned to effectively prosecute the victory for PDP.

Throwing their weight behind all PDP candidates in the area, the people of Opobo ethnic nationality have advised all contestants to be civil during and after the election to avoid attracting the wrath of the law saying that Opobo stands still for PDP. ###
