Amaechi Can Never Be Tinubu Of Rivers State – Wike

Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that outgoing governor Rotimi Amaechi will not be allowed to metamorphose into the Tinubu of Rivers State.

Speaking during a meeting with supporters of former Rivers State governor, Sir Celestine Omehia on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Barrister Wike stated that Amaechi’s desire to emerge as Tinubu has been defeated by the vigilant people of the state.

He said that the forthcoming general elections are about the future of Rivers State, which will not be mortgaged on the altar of the ambition of the outgoing governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

The Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate urged all Rivers people to begin to ensure that the APC is defeated by voting President Goodluck Jonathan on March 28.

He said in line with Amaechi’s declaration that he will flee to exile after a President Goodluck Jonathan victory, the PDP will facilitate the exile for the governor.

Wike said : “ Outgoing Governor Rotimi Amaechi will never be allowed to be the Tinubu of Rivers State. This state is not Lagos where Tinubu has appropriated resources of the state for himself.

“Here in Rivers State we are committed to community development and respect. Therefore, Amaechi will be voted out alongside his stooges. Vote President Goodluck Jonathan and all the PDP candidates in the interest of the state”.

Responding, Former Rivers State Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia assured Barrister Wike that all his supporters will vote for President Jonathan and Barrister Wike during the forthcoming general elections.

He said that Rivers State was on the threshold of history, stressing that all his supporters have been mobilised to go to the rural areas to ensure that PDP wins comprehensively.
