Obalga: APC Chairman Candidates Promises Better Life

The All Progressives Congress Chairmanship candidate of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers, Hon. Chimerem Nnanta Weli has assured the people of the area of adequate utilization of revenue that would be allocated to the LGA under his watch and embark on peoples oriented projects across the LGA if elected in May 23rd LGA election in Rivers State.

Hon. Weli gave the assurance while in a chat with journalists at a reception organized at Rumuodara, Obio/Akpor LGA shortly when he received the flag as the APC chairmanship candidate of Obio/Akpor at the Alfred Diette Spiff Sport Civic Centre, Moscow Road in Port Harcourt on Monday.

Hon. Nnanta Weli who spoke through his Media Assistant, Mr. Amadi Eric Chima noted the former CTC chairman of Obio/Akpor has done his best while in office and promised to enhance his performance and improve the lives of the people of his LGA if elected as chairman in the forth coming LGA elections.

According to him, “I will ensure regular payment of students of Obio/Akpor extractions bursary, award of scholarship to students of Obio/Akpor, electricity supply, water supply, maintenance of road, good sanitation in the area and collection with the security agencies to ensure security in the area.

The Obio/Akpor chairmanship hopeful who is also the Ikwerre Youth Movement, IYM chairman in Obio/Akpor LGA expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Obio/Akpor for voting him massively during the APC primary elections in the area which made him to emerge as the APC candidate of Obio/Akpor promised to carry them along in the scheme of things and expressed optimism that with their support in the May 23rd general elections he will emerge victoriously at the poll and appealed for their support.

Also a chat with journalists at the venue of the reception, Comr. Racky Godwin described Hon. Weli as a grassroots man who is dedicated to serve the people of the LGA adding that the people of Obio/Akpor voted for him massively during the primary elections because they know that he will performe excellently when he emerges as chairman of the council and assured him of the people support in the forthcoming poll.

Similarly, Chief Christian Ordu described Nnata Weil as a Christian, humble and committed grassroots man who deserve to be the next chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA expressing optimism that Hon. Weli will take Obio/Akpor people to the promised land.

Also Lord Nelson Wali, a community leader in Obio/Akpor LGA and a staunch member of APC noted that the emergence of Hon. Chimenem Nnanta Weli as the APC chairmanship candidate in Obio/Akpor is a well deserve one and expressed hope that he will justify the confidence repose on him by the people of Obio/Akpor LGA.   ###
