Humble Yourself Before Elders”, Chief Tubonimi Arinyedoairi Tells Wike

Welcome His Excellency, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Wike.
Firstly, let me congratulate you on your victory as the Governor of the new Rivers State and your subsequent swearing in as confirmation. Well done Ezenwo my dear pikin.
There are few words of advice from me as a father.
In the governance of Rivers State and her people PUT GOD FIRST. Seek His face. Listen to the soft voice of the Holy Spit and obey accordingly You would never be disappointed.
Pray for those who were or are after you, for God protects the faithful and pays the evil men with vengeance which is far and above human strength.
Continue to humble yourself before your elders, for with humility God would raise you further because God abhors self exaltation and arrogance and the consequences are destructive as well as humiliating
As Governor, the entire Rivers State is your constituency and you are the Chief security officer as well as the political father, discrimination against any ethnicity should be avoided.
His Excellency, Nigerians love, cherish and apply sycophancy to the level of “sychophanting” you to a dangerous precipice.
Political Advisers are the worst offenders and being the Boss, they would prefer to feed you with made-up and cooked-up stories to attract favours in place of placing before you, what the general public actually feels about you and your government.
This unhealthy practice has destroyed many governors and leaders in the past (even in the most recent past). So consult widely and wisely on vital issues before taking final decisions, the example, is the suspension of Barrister Wogu Boms the last Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice by the Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association over the closure of the Rivers State Courts for one year.
The Rivers State House of Assembly should not be seen as an ordinary rubber stamp as it was in the just passed House of Assembly.
The House of Assembly must be seen by the public to be doing what it is elected to do and properly too and NOT “i”s and “nays” chorus singing assembly.
As a consummate technocrat and lawyer and with your cumulative experience as Local Government Chairman, Chief of Staff Government House, Minister of States for Education and Supervising Minister of Education, your mistakes and challenges and those of others particularly as it affects the running of the Rivers State Government would be the teacher to guide you.
I wish you good luck and divine direction.
