Ahead 2019: Kalabari, Ogonis In Secret Talks

nyesom-wike-3Last Saturday while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) organises her congresses across the various wards of 774 local government areas in the country, some politicians from Kalabari extraction were meeting in Port Harcourt to deliberate on the “zoning of political offices in 2019”.
The said meeting was attended by some persons who contested the governorship primary election on PDP platform against the governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike on the 8th December, 2014. Some Special Advisers also attended the meeting.
The meeting was hosted by a top political elite who is currently eyeing the Brick House in 2019.
An impeccable source informed this weekly, that the attendees vowed to seize power in 2019. And to achieve that, they resolved to form a strong alliance with the Ogonis.
Information had it that another secret plot to actualize their ambition in 2019, is to scuttle and dismantle all the governor’s political outfits and platforms, especially that of the Grassroot Development Initiative, GDI.
Meanwhile, The Newswriter reliably gathered that, the convener of the last Saturday’s meeting and some politicians have left Port Harcourt for Abuja, the nation’s capital territory on Monday to hold secret talks in Abuja with some political bigwigs from the Ogoni ethnic nationality.
Speaking to our correspondent, a frontline politician in the state, Chief Alex Brown has called on politicians jostling for elective offices and appointment in 2019 to bury their ambition, saying that it is too early to do so.
He advised them to jettison their political ambition and join hands with Governor Nyesom Wike to make Rivers State, “great instead of fronting ambitions that are unnecessary for now.” ###
