Delga Chiefs’ Council Gets New Chairman

The Delga Council of Chiefs now has a new chairman; he is HRH O.O. Odum VIII, the Amanyanabo of Bakana.

The emergence of HRH O.O. Odum VIII as the new chairman of Delga Council of Chiefs has thrown the entire LGA into happiness and jubilation.

Some indigenes of Bakana who spoke to our correspondent expressed optimism that with the emergence of Odum VIII as the Delga Council of Chiefs will usher’s in the needed development into the various communities in the LGA. According to them the time to develop the Delga Chief’s Council is now and urged all and sundry, especially chiefs in the LGA to give the Odum VIII the necessary support to succeed.

The new Delga Chief’s Council, HRH Odum VIII who is also a 2nd class traditional ruler in the state has promised to ensure peace, justice and equity in the Delga traditional chieftaincy institution.

The paramount ruler said that with him, the Chiefs Council will be repositioned effectively, adding that Delga Chiefs will take their proper positions in the scheme of things. The Amanyanabo assured them of initiating ideas that would attract governmental development into the LGA.

Meanwhile a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt has on Wednesday reprimanded one Comrade M. O. Releigh-Joe to prison custody for impersonation and false information. Releigh-Joe who claimed to be the secretary to one Captain I.I Braide td, one of the contestants to the stool of the Amanyanabo of Bakana.

Captain I. I. Braide (rtd) disappeared in the court premises as the Magistrate Sent Releigh-Joe into prison custody for exhibiting character likely to cause problems in Bakana country. ###
