Pokima Calls On Obuama Indigenes To Equip Laboratory

The Chairman of Degema Local Government Council, Mr. Ibigoni Daddy Pokima has called on prominent sons and daughters of Obuama to help equip the laboratory of Community Secondary School (CSS) Obuama as they are preparing for the forth coming 2014 WAEC/NECO examinations.

Mr. Pokima made the call when a delegation of the Prefects of CSS Obuama led by the English and Games Master, Mr. Ikenna Solomon paid him a courtesy visit in his office. The Chairman, who said he had previously appealed to the Ministry of Education for assistance, assured the students that more teachers will be posted to the school as soon as the State Government commences the posting of the 13,000 recruited teachers.

Mr. Pokima said that the Secretary of the council Mr. Soye Hanshel will visit the school to cost the extent of damage at the corper’s lodge and some of the classrooms and forward his report to the council for consideration. He advised the students to list out the items needed for sporting activities in the school and forward to the council. Responding, the Games Master of the school, Mr. Ikenna Solomon commended the Chairman for the warm reception accorded to them and assured him of the school’s support at all times.
