Hon. Demue made the remark at the dedication service of PCRC Gokana chapter sent forth and reception of CSP Joseph Ibezim former DPO and CSP Ike Nwogu on Sunday 16th June, 2013 at the council Headquarters Kpor, respectively.

The council boss stated that he will work hand in glove with PCRC to bring a new dimension to the security challenges in Gokana especially for the propagation of peace while encouraging them to embark on sensitization and mobilization with a view of bringing credible members into the body.

Comrade Nadueba maintained that the PCRC concept of community policing is an indispensable tool for the sustenance of peace and security.

He condemned the increasing rate of crimes within some communities especially the clandestine communal clash between the K. Dere and B. Dere communities.

The Chairman PCRC Gokana said the body will organize leadership seminars, community policing safety, conflict management and the sensitization to community youth leaders to strengthen surveillance in the area.

In an interview shortly after the event the member representing Gokana in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Innocent Barikor said the Gokana people have risen to the crises situation and decided to do everything possible to bring peace to the area.
