JTF Raids Egberipapa’s Residence

SOBOMABO JACKRICHFears griped the residents of Degema Consulate, the headquarters of Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State on Monday as a team of well armed Joint Military Task force (JTF) stormed the residence of an ex-combatant in the Niger Delta geopolitical region, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich, alias Egberipapa.

According to eyewitness account, the soldiers gained access to the building and ransacked the place, but nothing incriminating was found within the residence.

Egberipapa was not in when the JTF visited his residence.

According to one of his aides who hinted our correspondent on the raid said that, “when the soldiers came, Oga (Egberipapa) was not there. He traveled to Abuja to attend to pressing issues. We do not know what they want, now that we are talking about peace.”

The reason of the early morning raid was not known as at the time of going to the press.  ##
