New Generation Initiative, South-South Stakeholders Adopt Kwankwaso in 2015

Internal pressure groups in the All Progressives Congress (APC), New Generation Initiative and South-South Stakeholders have come up with a resolution to adopt Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso to contest for the presidential race under APC come 2015.

Members of the group who came from the south-south zone said that the purpose of their resolution has proofs, pointing out that Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, Raji Fashola, Rochas Okorocha, Sen. Bukola Saraki have the youths at hearts and have shown immense development in their states, as APC is the only political party that has free hands for good governance policy making.

In his welcome address, Comrade Godspower Igwe, South-South co-ordinator of the said groups welcome all participates and said Nigerian youths have been held to ransom in the leadership of PDP, adding that the youths would work with the leadership of APC, as that is the only party that could bring democratic dividends to the yearnings of the youth.

Meanwhile, in his opening speech, Comrade Mallam Baturabe Rufai, National Co-ordinator of the group claimed that all APC governors have the potential’s to deliver and could carry the youths along for a better tomorrow.

Parts of his opening speech reads: “We convey here today with great sense of action and positions sense of purpose to add greater value to the yearnings of both the average people of Nigeria and the progressive elite for change in governance at the top eschew of the leadership of the nation. In the building to the 2015 presidential election, APC New Generation Initiative is positively inclined and dedicated to the success and emergency of APC of the centre of government in Nigeria at the 2015 poll”.

Comrade Rufai who further spoke to news men after the meeting said, “Government’s policies should bring about development to the youths at the grassroots”, adding it is a struggle as there is room for lobby in democracy.

The exco of the group include Okpowo Smart, Brave Samuel, Aliu Hadem, Felix Okon, Purpose O., Peres Ogbogbo, Agboola A, Chris Eban and Uyime Essien. ###
