Feb. Polls: KUPIGG Supports Ideozu, Brown, Farah

HON. OSY IDEOZUAs February 2015 general election draws nearer, a strong socio-political group in the Kalabari ethnic nationality known as the Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance (KUPIGG) has finally thrown its weight behind the candidature of Hon. Osy Ideozu for the Rivers West Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly. Hon. Ideozu is contesting on the platform of the ruling PDP.

This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday, shortly after the association’s executive council meeting.

KUPIGG extolled the leadership qualities of Hon. Ideozu, adding that with him in the National Assembly the people of the Rivers West Senatorial District will begin to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The statement which was signed by the chairman of the group, Comrade Jerry Horsfall, KUPIGG declared its total support for Hon. Ideozu.

Comrade Horsfall expressed clear confidence on the leadership of Hon. Ideozu, saying that Hon. Ideozu has all what it takes to carry the people of the Rivers West Senatorial District along in the scheme of things.

The group further declared its support for Hon. Randof Brown, a PDP candidate for Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency seat. According to the group, Hon. Brown is a sincere politician that has the capability to usher in the needed development into the Degema/Bonny LGA.

Comrade Horsfall called on the people of Degema and Bonny to rally round Hon. Brown so as to give him the necessary support to scale through the February 14, 2015 general election.

The group also thrown all its weight behind Dr. Farah Dagogo, a PDP candidate for Degema constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

KUPIGG expressed optimism that Dr. Farah Dagogo as an astute administrator and a man with a clear vision and mission will ensure effective representation in the Rivers Assembly to represent the people of the Degema constituency.

Comrade Horsfall sent a passionate appeal to the good people of the Rivers West Senatorial District, Degema/Bonny Federal constituency and Degema constituency to stand behind Hon. Ideozu, Hon. Brown and Hon. Dr. Farah Dagogo in the next month general election. ###
