Rivers Muslims Applaud Wike Over Alhaji Jackrich’s Appointment

Muslims under the auspices of the Rivers State Islamic Council have applauded Governor Nyesom Wike for appointing Alhaji Mustapha Jackrich as the new chairman of Rivers State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

This was contained in statement issued in Port Harcourt and made available to The Newswriter Newspaper on Monday; the Rivers State Islamic Council described the appointment as the right step in the right direction.

The statement which was signed by the secretary of the council, Alhaji Daud Pennuel, observed that Jackrich’s appointment would bring unity among the Muslim faithful in the state.

Alhaji Pennuel who is also the founder of Right Path Islamic Forum of Niger Delta expressed optimism that Alhaji Jackrich’s appointment will further strengthen the activities of the Muslims in the National Hajj Commission.

The Rivers State Islamic Council had earlier felicitated with Alhaji Jackrich of his new appointment, and extolled his leadership qualities.

The council expressed hope that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear by repositioning the Rivers State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for maximum positive impact in the wellbeing of the Muslims in the state.

Alhaji Pennuel urged the Rivers Muslims to rally round Alhaji Jackrich by giving him the necessary support to succeed. ###
