Ahead PDP Convention: Ateke Dumps PDP?

Ateke TomAs the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is preparing to hold its National Convention in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, the information reaching our political desk revealed that, the peace crusader and the leader of the defunct Niger Delta Vigilantee Group, High Chief Ateke Tom may dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The reasons of his plan to pull out of the PDP are still not clear at the time of filing in this report, but a reliable source close to the Okrika born warlord told our political correspondent that the ex-Niger Delta agitator is moving out of the party because of perceived irregularities in the system.

Though all efforts to contact the Niger Delta peace crusader to find out his alleged plan to move out from PDP proved abortive, but knowledgeable sources disclosed that there is no turning back of Ateke Tom leaving the party except things improve and the nonsense attitude of some PDP Chieftains are  corrected.

Information had it that Ateke is not happy with leadership crisis in the party, expressing fears that if it continues the way it is the PDP may go to oblivion in 2019.

Besides, the leadership crisis rocking the party, a dependable source hinted this weekly that the ex-Niger Delta agitator is not being carried along in the scheme of things.

With the current political equation and permutation if Ateke finally made up his mind to leave the PDP for another registered political party, there is every tendency that PDP might face problems in Okrika, Ogu/Bolo, Phalga and other LGAs. Of recent observation shows that High Chief Ateke is no longer interested in the affairs of the party and shunned so many party activities in his senatorial district.  ###
