We’ve Huge Burden On Our Shoulder …NDDC Boss

Dr. Christian Oboh says the Commission has a huge burden on its shoulders to develop the Niger Delta Region, and therefore, cannot leave the task of supervision in the hands of few.
Dr. Oboh who said this during an induction course for the Commission’s newly recruited engineers, explained that “this is why for the first time we have taken this large number of engineers”.
“We have quite a large burden on our shoulders to develop the Niger Delta Area and we can’t do it alone, we need to enlarge our team. You must work and act as new face of NDDC”.
The NDDC Boss challenged the new engineers to bring their intellect to bear in the discharge of their duties, adding “you are fresh graduates, young men and unpolluted minds, so we will want to see the changes you will bring into the Commission”.
He informed them that confirmation of their appointments, expected after six months probation, depend on their commitment and dedication, emphasizing that those who will work will have the sky as their limit.
In his speech, the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Mr. Lambert Komboye congratulated the engineers on their appointments, saying they were expected to make positive impact in the system, especially being fresh with new ideas.
Also speaking, the Executive Director Projects, Engineer Edikan Eshett reminded the engineers of the task ahead and urged them to demonstrate high sense of morality in the discharge of their duties.
“We don’t expect you to join the consultants or contractors to try to short-change the Commission”.
