Rivers Councils LGAs Get N3.4b Allocation In October

A total of N3. 4 billion has been allocated to the 23 Local Government Areas and the statutory bodies of Rivers State for the month of October, 2013.

This was contained in a document released from the Ministry of Local Government Affairs and signed by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Samuel Eyiba.

According to the document, Port Harcourt Local Government received the highest allocation of N204.5 million, while Obio/Akpor received N185 million for the month.

The least paid Local Governments are Ogu/Bolo and Omuma Local Governments N102.8m and N109.7m respectively.

The document further revealed that among the statutory bodies, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers got an allocation of N167.5m which is the highest while Rivers State Pension Board received N114.8 million.

Others are; Rivers State Local Government Service Commission N63 million, Primary Health Care Management Board N107.5 million, Phalga Council of Chiefs N5.8 million and the office Auditor-General gets 0.3 per cent of N10.7 million.
