I Will create Jobs in Sports For The Youths

Engr. Georgewill EmmanuelA governorship aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Engr. Georgewill Emmanuel has said that he will create jobs in sports for the youths.

The aspirant who had served in various government committees, disclosed that he had been a private sectors man and had seen lots of things, after serving in various capacities as a technocrats he knows what the youths of Rivers State can do as there are abundant hidden talents in all the 23 LGAs in sports.

Stressing that one of the best ways to create job opportunities is to empower the youths through their sporting talents, as someone from the Riverine area he will support the nine riverine local government areas to produce seasoned swimmers.

Speaking further he said, he will not enhance and support only football rather he will support and empower all sporting activities.

“All sports will be encouraged, so that Rivers youths will be gainfully employed and empowered in sports.

“Moreso, sport brings unity and peace among neighbours, that I will use to create peace and unity as well as create job opportunities for the youths.

“With the abundant sports, talents of the state, we are going to develop all sports so that all the youths will have one or two sports to contribute in area of sports as well as fend for themselves, in that way, there will be no cult activities in the state as all will be engaged in one sporting activity or the other.

Scholarship will be encouraged to all sportsmen and women, our traditional sports, wrestling and swimming will be resurrected to take their pride of place in the comity of the Nigeria swimming and wrestling federations.

Engr. Georgewill appealed to the youths to be prepared to serve the state with him through their God given sports talents as well as fend for themselves, so as to eradicate poverty, social vices in Rivers State, if given the chance. ###
