Stop Condemning Your Fellow Christians, Apostle Dimkpa Urges Christian …As Christian Association Of Nigeria Gives Him Award

A clergyman in Rivers State, Senior Superintendent Apostle Dr. Alexander Dimkpa (JP) the zonal supervisor of the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim of Nigeria overseas, incorporated, Rivers State zone, has called on Christians to stop condemning one another in the name of churches’ denominations, rather should see themselves as one body.

Apostle Alexander Dimkpa gave the advice while in a chat with the political editor of The Newswriter inPort Harcourt.

The clergyman recalled that over the years Christians have brought curses upon themselves for inculcating the culture of condemning and discriminating themselves without no just cause or considering that Christian bodies whether Anglican, Roman Catholic, Cherubim and Seraphim, Assemblies of God among other denominations ought to be one, since they belong to one body of Christ and worship the same God.

He urged Christians to desist from such ungodly manner and emulate the teaching of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, to bring all Nigerians together  and do what is expected of them in the society.

Apostle Dimkpa who was recently honoured by CAN alongside other 25 personalities including Dr. Peter Odili the former governor of Rivers state, His Royal Majesty, Alfred Diette Spiff, the first military governor of Rivers state, Apostle Eugene Ogu, the former PFN President in Rivers State and General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangelical  Mission among others for their stewardship towards Christendom in the state and nation in general, commended African Instituted Churches, OAIC, for recommending him to CAN for the award bestowed on him.

The clergy man commended CAN members for the award bestowed on him and described Apostle David Zilly Aggrey the Rivers State President of CAN as a noble and hard working man who is capable of controlling both CAN and PFN in the state because he knows what both bodies needed.

The former chairman of Ikwerre District council during the political era of NPN, called on the members of exco of CAN to be courageous, work without fear of favour or discrimination against each other or division rather should be in harmony and do the work of God to move CAN forward.

He enjoined members of the Sacred Cherubim andseraphimChurchWorld wide, Rivers State Zone, to come together and worship God in and spirit, peace, love and unity.

Apostle Dimkpa thanked His Eminence, Most elder Apostle Prophet Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Alao (JP) the Supreme head of Cherubim andSeraphimOrganizationChurchworld wide for appointing him to representing him inRiversState, praying that God should give him long life to pilot the affairs of the churches.

The clergy man who reminded the members of the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim that the award bestowed on him was not for him alone but for every member of the church, enjoined members to remain loyal to OAIC and CAN as well.

He appealed to the federal government through theRiversStategovernment to stop the killing of Christians in the north.

The clergy man who recalled that the kidnapping and other ungodly activities nowadays were not in the past, urges Nigerians to make a change by ensure that the atrocities be a thing of the past to move Nigeria forward. ###

Private School Proprietors Decry Multiple Taxation … Celebrate World NAPPS Day

The imposition of multiple taxation on private schools by government had became a nightmare to members of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) inRiversState.

In a chat with journalists during the world NAPPS day celebration at the Peoples club,Port Harcourt, the national president ofNAPPSRiversStatechapter, Dr. Peter Harrison decried multiple taxation on private school owners in the state.

He explained that the proprietors are not against payment of taxes to the government since it was their duty to do so, but their concern was the addition of other kinds of taxation like the one from ministry of commerce and industry, state ministry of environment, internal revenue, among others, adding that the numerous taxes were heavy load to private schools owners and appealed to government to stick to the normal taxation.

Dr. Harrison said every October 12 annually is set aside as world NAPPS day to acknowledge the role private schools play in the nations and the world at large.

The activities marking the day include, courtesy visit to Rivers State Television (RSTV), Press conference, visit to orphanages and procession fromCIWAS Port Harcourt Aba Express Roadto Borikiri town axis.

In a chat with newsmen, Mrs. Joy Emeruem, the proprietor of theGoodShepherdSchoolstated that the day was set aside to celebrate the role of private schools to bring up children morally and academically.

Mrs. Emeruem who described the celebration as successful, revealed that the private schools inRiversStatewere over 800 in number.

Commenting on their challenges, she also decried multiple taxation on private schools, stressing that theRiversStategovernment was in the habit of imposing different kinds of taxation on the private schools.

She said each school pays over N65,000 yearly, describing government as not entrepreneur-friendly.

She further disclosed that another challenge of the proprietors was the change of schools by parents who are unable to pay their children’s schools fees which affects proprietors.

On his own path, Victor Edigreen, Vice President, NAPPS,RiversStatechapter and the chairman of the committee of NAPPS day celebration noted that the day was set aside by NAPPS to celebrate the impact by the private schools.

The committee chairman who urged proprietors to co-operate with one another to overcome their challenges, assured parents that the proprietors will give their children the quality education they deserved. ###
