D.G Bob-Manuel Urges RSG To Immortalise Eddy Peters

The chairman of Rivers State Amateur Golf Association, King D.G Bob-Manuel has appealed to the Rivers State Government to immortalize a seasoned Port Harcourt based golfer, Eddy Peters who died recently after a brief illness.

The royal father in his appeal said, Eddy Peters has paid his dues in representing the state internationally and had brought fame and glory to Rivers State as such deserved to be immortalize by Rivers State Government.

Eddy Peters at the age of 65 years was still strong as he plays along with much more younger golfers in the Port Harcourt Club Golf Section on weekly basis.

A reliable member of the Port Harcourt Club 1928 Golf Section. He could be described as a veteran of the game, till his death, he brought fun into the lives of many, a jolly happy fellow to be with any day anytime.

The King of Abonnema town, has disclosed that, the Port Harcourt Club 1928 Golf Section came together to organize a golf tournament for late Eddy Peters at the weekend at Air Asavet Golf Club Airforce.

According to King Bob-Manuel its sad to know Eddy Peters is no more. The Port Harcourt Club 1928 Golf Section has indeed lost a great golfer to death, which vacuum will be difficult to fill for a long time.

Maintaining that Eddy Peters’ contributions to Rivers State Golf is immeasurable, noting that Eddy Peter was part of the contingents that represented Rivers State in Garden City Game 2012.

And till his untimely death was playing active golf for the Rivers State Amateur Golf Association. ###
