The twenty two Leaders of the Legislative Assembly in Rivers State Led by its Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Wagbara representing lkwerre Local Government Council in the Legislative arm, have honored their member, the former leader of Ahoada West Legislative Assembly, Hon, Wilson Karibo on his recent appointment as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Ahoada West by the Rivers State Government and Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
According to Hon. Wagbara, the visit to Hon. Karibo was not by mistake, saying that, in the history of councilors in Rivers State, the 7th Legislative Assembly under his watch must be regarded as the best ever in the State.
Commending the State Governor, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Leadership forum Chairman said, the Governor who is known for his grassroots politics really took kin interest on the councilors representing different L.G.As, in the State during their 2011 to 2014 Legislative jobs.
He pleaded with the Ahoada West people to give Hon. Karibo the maximum support to perform his duty as the Caretaker Chairman. He advised them especially the youths of the area to shun cultism and all aspect of social vices in order to attract adequate development to the area.
The forum Chairman also advised Hon. Wilson to use his office to do good to people as the Governor is watching every steps taken, while requesting the able State Governor , to consider more of the councilors to the office of Chairman of their various Local Government Councils and other Political offices.
Hon. Wagbara also commended his members for their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and adequate jobs done in their various Council areas and requested them to maintain the tempo in mobilizing more people for the party led by the state. Wilson, he is optimistic that more of his members will be appointed in different offices considering their performances.
In his response, Hon. Karibo said, he was delighted for the visit and honour done him by the immediate past Leaders of the 7th Legislative Assembly in Rivers State, saying, in the history of Council Legislators in the State, the 7th Assembly regarded as the best, considering their performance which propelled the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to consider one of them as Caretaker Committee Chairman in the present administration, while joining others to request for more appointments of its members who are seen as grassroots mobilizers in their different Local Government Areas.
Hon. Wilson advised the forum members to keep fate with the party as victory is assured in the 2015 general election in Rivers State while urging them to work and mobilize for the success of the party.
High point of the honour was the visit to the paramount Rulers of the area, HRH Dimipa Mazi and Shadow Abel and their blessing on the C.TC Chairman. ###
