Some armed bandits last week attacked the cashier of the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State. The cashier who simply identified as Aki was attacked on Kaduna Street, near the popularly Fruit Garden at the D/Line axis of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
Our crime correspondent reported that the Degema Council’s cashier was attacked by unknown gunmen while returning from bank.
The armed criminals forcefully collected a total sum of three million naira from the cashier. According to council source, the said money was meant for the settlement of some internal debt in the LGA. ###
