Chief Emmanuel Nworgu from Egberu Ndoki in Oyigbo Local Government area of Umuiheze-1-clan, has condemned vehemently the uncivilized action of the women of Umuiheze-i-clan against the chairman of Oyigbo local government council, Hon. Felix Nwaeke on Monday in his council office.
The royal father angrily stressed that the action of the women was demeaning to the elders and chiefs of the Umuiheze-1-clan as there are better ways to making demands in issues of common interest.
The peaceful political stakeholder of Oyigbo local government said the women’s action is viewed as disrespectful capable of tarnishing the elders and chiefs of the clan, pointing out that the women did not follow due process by consulting the chief and elders before embarking on such disgusting protest down to the chairman’s office on Monday.
Chief Emmanuel Nworgu is one of the political powers in Oyigbo local government council who happened to hail from the clan and has since tendered an apology on behalf of the entire chiefs, elders and his community and the women to the elected executive chairman of Oyigbo local government council, Hon. Felix Nwaeke on the unwelcome behaviour of the women on Monday.
He maintained that the women could have passed through the chiefs and elders to handle their case though due process, reason being that this administration has not settle down.
Meanwhile, Chief Emmanuel Nworgu appealed to Hon. Felix not to go back on his word in concentrating on developmental programmes in the area.
