Kadiri Ikhana Quits?
Story making the rounds the nations sports fraternity has it that Coach of Super Falcons, Kadiri Ikhana has quit his position as Coach of the Senior Female National Team, the Falcons, on his own without being sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
This was said to be due to the dismal performance of the Falcons at this year’s African Women Nations Cup. The position of Coach Ikhana has generated lots of reactions across Nigeria, among football lovers. Some opined that the veteran coach should be given the boot, while some are of the opinion that he should be given time to position himself with the Falcons, of whatever opinion you have, may be of paramount concern to Nigerians as the condition of the national teams is everybody’s concern.
But should Ikhana quit his position because of the dismal performance of his girls?
Whatever that happened at the competition, continuity is the best answer to our football development. Ikhana is known to be a good coach in the African continent, courtesy of his back to back records of winning for Nigeria for the first time Club African Champions League was won by Enyimba under his coachship.
Though, he had not coached the female and male football side may not be the same, hence the approach in their coaching methods may differ slightly.
