Akinola Celebrates 60th Birthday In Style

It was a joyful moment for the entire members of the Redemption Ministries when the General Overseer of the Ministries, Rev. Steven Akinola celebrates his 60th birthday.

The ceremony which was tagged celebration of God’s faithfulness and unfathomable mercies was held at the Redemption Ministry, Eastern Bye-pass, Port Harcourt last Saturday.

Those who spoke at the ceremony described him as a faithful, disciplined and excellent man of God who has used his ministry to perform wonderful miracles which has improved the lives of many Nigerians and some other people of the world.

According to Pastor Tamuno Bere, a senior minister in  Redemption Ministries described Akinola as a faithful man of God, charming and loving as he has impacted the knowledge of God to many souls and enjoined the younger pastors to emulate his footstep.

He advised members to be more committed in the word of God, prayerful and forgive one another.

Rev. Stanley Ashobody in his speech described him as one who is forthright in preaching the word of God undiluted.

He advised young pastors to learn faithfulness and charged ministers to be patience with God while members should be steadfast and remain committed to God.

In his submission Rev. Mike Orlu said Rev. Steven Akinola is a disciplined, loving and one who fears God and advised younger pastors and members to emulate him.

To Pastor Joseph Pategree the assistant pastor in the Global Assembly the ceremony was fantastic stressing that the ceremony was geared toward celebrating Rev. Steven Akinola 60th birthday and appreciating God for delivering him from a terrible sickness

He described him as a man of humility, exemplary man of God who deserves honour and urged members and younger pastors to remain faithful to God.

In his speech, the celebrant Rev. Steven Akinola who gave glory to God for preserving his life till date thanked members of the ministry and those who graced the ceremony.

Those who graced the ceremony include Prof. Barineme Beke Fakae Vice Chancellor, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Chief Alabo Graham Douglas former minister of culture and Tourism, Barr. Karibi Whyte.

Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of four books “I refused to lose, Stepping into your destiny, the tongue- a living fire, and all about faith written by the celebrant.  ###
