The Chairman of Ijaw Youth Council, Kalabari clan, Comrade Sobrasua Odum has dismissed the allegations that the CEO of the Masters Energy Oil and Gas Company diverted the construction of the Trans Kalabari road for the company’s personal interest.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt recently, Comrade Odum noted that after thorough investigation on the said allegations, he found out that the company is innocent.
The IYC who was reacting swiftly to a publication in which it was reported that the CEO of Masters Energy connived with some staff of the Ministry of Works to divert the construction of the Trans Kalabari Highway project, said that, “as a true son of Kalabari kingdom and a stakeholder in the area, I took it upon myself to investigate the matter and it was revealed that the company was innocent of the allegation.
He described the publication as a blatant lie, that is capable of misleading the people as well as causing disharmony among the Kalabaris and beyond.
Comrade Odum appealed to journalists to always cross check their facts before going to the press, to avoid misinformation. ###
