Group Lauds ANOLGA Boss For Achievements

A Socio-Political Organization, Obolo Youths Ambassador (OYA) has applauded the executive chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Sir Hon. Orom Nte Ereforokuma on the political will to embark and complete the first phase of rural electrification project linking Andoni to the National grid .

The Public Relations Officer of the Organization, Comrade Loveday P. Ekenta made the commendation last Monday when he led a delegation of the organization on behalf of her President, Comrade James Mgboineme on an independent assessment of the said project in Asarama, Unyeada, Egendem and its adjoining villages.

Ekenta noted that the organization was satisfied with the initiative as part of Obolo communities are enjoying Power from the National grid, positing that if all past administrations had done as little as this, the entire Obolo would have been linked to the national grid by now since its citizenry are tax payers.

He maintained that the organization deem it necessary to embark on the exercise now as to evaluate the position of Obolo extraction in the commity of nations and to decide who to support in the forthcoming polls, saying that such independent assessment was done by the organization in Eastern Obolo and Oron Local Government Areas and have since taken its resolution.

Ekenta, who represented the president of the organization, Comrade James used the occasion to appreciate him for giving the organization a face lift and allowed for the exercise, thanking God for sparing his life as he is still recuperating and prayed God to grant him speedy sound health to assume his duties.

OYA, however, used the medium to appreciate the Rivers State Government for the ongoing Unity-Road project, saying that it has been severally discussed by its president in his column, the Issues Abattoir in The Newswriter newspaper.

Spokesperson of OYA, Comrade Ekenta noted that the road is of great importance to the Obolo people and the nation at large, appealing for completion before the expiration of the current administration.

Ekenta said the last Monday independent exercise of OYA was timely as it afford the organization the opportunity to applaud and felicitate with one of its own and sons of the soil, Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya on his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Congress last Saturday.

OYA enjoined Chief Ikanya to use his wealth of experience to prove to the state and Nigeria at large that he is an indigene of Obolo, noting that Obolo people shines wherever they are. ##
