Armed Robbers Attack Orazi Residents, Cart Away Money, Property

Tuesday night August 7, 2012 was a traumatic one for tenants of No. 17 Road One, Orazi, in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State, as armed robbers; numbering about five stormed their residence at about 3am.
Not only was their good night sleep interrupted rudely, their property such as gold trinkets, laptops, handsets, mostly blackberries worth millions of naira and substantial amount of money were carted away by the robbers.
Mostly affected were a staff of NDDC, Miss Dokubo, a business woman, Miss Joy, and a new tenant, a supplier of tractors and equipment.
The robbers scaled through the fence of the residence and forced open the burglary proofs of the houses with a substance suspected to be acid.
The new tenant, after being robbed in his room was forced at gun point to his car, a Toyota corolla with registration number DV887 PHC to get more money.
As the robbers retreated after robbing the tenants, they were heard calling each other, “Bobo, Obed, come make we go”.
The police at Kala police station were later invited to the scene after the robbers had fled, leaving behind pairs of slippers, some knives and other sharp objects, all of which the police took away for further investigation.
Fortunately, however no lives were lost. ###
