BOROA Holds Annual Fasting And Prayer Conference In Bonny

For the peaceful operation of ‘Okada’ business in Bonny Island, Prophetess Goodness of Miracle House Ministry, Bonny in the Bonny local government area of Rivers State has pledged the support of all inhabitants in Bonny in ensuring that the hand of God is bestowed on the ‘Okada’ operation in Bonny LGA.
Prophetess Goodness made the pledge while delivering a sermon at the one day annual prayer/fasting held at Round About field, last week Thursday at Bonny, by the Bonny ‘Okada’ Riders/Owners Association, BOROA .
The prophetess stated that Bonny ‘Okada’ Riders/Owners Association has gone through a lot of challenges as peace and stability has eluded the leadership of the ‘okada’ riders for a long time and so for the business of ‘okada’ riding to thrive in the island\, the hand of God must be upon it.
The woman of God cited instances of similar cases in which through the instrumentality of God’s divine grace there have been relative peace in the area.
She reminded the ‘okada’ riders that God’s anger is upon the members as there has been evil machinations in the past and so called on the people to seek God’s forgiveness and mercy.
Citing from the bible text of Exodus 12:25-31 and Exodus 14:9, she stressed that from the circumstance of frequent changes in the leadership of BOROA in the area, prophetess Goodness emphasized that any one that is not ordained by God should not govern or join ‘okada’ business as what is required is a leader/member that is God-fearing and filled with the interest of other people at heart.
Earlier, the vice chairman Comrade Kufre Okorie who read the address on behalf of the chairman Comrade Gibson A. Banigo thanked all members, prophets and prophetess, pastors and all invitees who made the occasion a success.
The vice chairman charged all to embrace God at all times. He noted that anyone without God cannot succeed in anything.
Kufre appealed to members to be dedicated to their daily operations and avoid reckless riding, drinking or smoking while on business pointing out that ‘okada’ riders are the custodians of peoples lives.
He remarked that the ’ember’ months are here and so operators need extreme care and caution as they do their business saying that the association will not condone any careless rider, but promised to support any careful operator in the area.
In his remarks, Bonny Council Vice Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel John Jumbo, lauded the association for their peaceful annual prayer/fasting programme.
He called on other organizations operating in Bonny to emulate the spirit of BOROA in bringing God into their daily businesses. John Jumbo prayed to God to hear the prayers of BOROA in Bonny charging them not to harbor any evil thought in their business as they have cried to God for redemption. ###
